Toshiba also manufactures Externally Gapped Line Arresters up to 550KV and in compliance with IEC 60099-8: 2017

Metal oxide surge arresters with external series gaps improve the reliability of transmission systems by not only protecting against lightning damage but also protecting insulator assemblies from flashovers caused by lightning.
