Since 1875 when it was founded in Tokyo Japan, Toshiba has been at the forefront of innovation bringing numerous world firsts both to its home market and the world.

In 1978, Toshiba International Corporation Pty Ltd (TIC) was established in Australia as a wholly owned subsidiary of Toshiba, Japan specialising in products and services for industrial and engineering sectors. TIC has continued to grow with offices throughout Australia including Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia.

TIC delivers solutions to Australia's Energy, Mining, Industrial and Social Infra-Structure sectors. It has built a reputation for excellence and endurance delivering products and services including turbines, generators, motors, electrical drives, their control and protection system and maintenance services both in Australia and worldwide.

TIC has talented and experienced teams able to leverage long established intellectual property backed up by state of the art technology of the entire Toshiba Group.

Company Profile

Since TIC's incorporation in 1978, we have continued to expand operations throughout Australia. The teams include development engineers, project managers and technical support staff. In addition to our local employees, we have access to Toshiba Group to provide assistance to ensure our projects are successfully delivered and supported. TIC has 2 key divisions, energy and industrial equipment.
 

Energy
TIC is a market leader in the energy sector providing a range of services including project management, engineering services and field services encompassing installation, commissioning and maintenance. The services incorporate Toshiba's generators, turbines, transformers, switchgear and associated energy infrastructure for this industry. TIC's future focus is on developing and supporting the transition to a cleaner energy future incorporating asset performance management, hydropower, geothermal, energy storage, smart grid and hydrogen power systems. The Energy Division utilises its subsidiary (PGSR) to provide resources and tooling when required for site works undertaken by TIC.
 
Industrial Equipment
TIC Industrial Division has been a building block in Australian industry providing knowledge, support, and exceptional service across generations. We have been involved in driving efficiency and operational improvements while supporting some of Australia's largest energy, mining, industrial, and petrochemical projects and continue to develop our people, technologies and capabilities to meet an ever-demanding market.

Our day-to-day activities include the supply of motors & drive systems to the mining, material handling, steel, oil and gas industries and include the provision of engineering support, sales, service, warehouse and workshop facilities including testing and product training facilities.
