OUR SOLUTION TO PROJECT CHALLENGES

As the OEM for the Steam Turbine Generator (STG) equipment was commissioned in 2001, Toshiba was able to provide support to Callide Power Management (CS Energy & Intergen joint venture), as it began the process of returning the Unit to full service.

Toshiba’s willingness to work closely together with Callide Power Management utilising local engineering expertise and resources to expedite direct communications with Toshiba Japan assisted in identifying the scope of works enabling an accelerated supply and delivery discussion with our factories in Japan.

Early Works Agreements were implemented, allowing manufacture to commence with final contracts being finalised early in 2022.

In parallel to the manufacture of key equipment, a senior engineer from our local Toshiba team, was dispatched to Callide to work closely with Callide Power Management during the dismantling of the remaining equipment, enabling identification of the full extent of the works and also providing a direct communication route for discussions relating to the new equipment supply and installation.
Callide Power Management and Toshiba’s willingness to work together to enable an accelerated commercial and manufacturing program … well on the way to returning Unit C4 to service.
